Talk about buying on instinct… when I saw this fabric, I knew I had to have it! I instantly had a vision of what this fabric would look like as an impeccably tailored suit. This garment is a complete show stopper and head turner for all the right reasons! Now, I have to find an event worthy of such a unique suit. Pictured below is a sample of the suit from the Stricklandesign Bespoke F/W 16 Look Book.

Blue Floral Denim Print Fabric
This is a beautiful 98% cotton, 2% spandex floral denim print that’s going to be a show-stopper as a two piece suit or dinner jacket. The twist on the dinner jacket is, as opposed to the traditional satin lapels, the lapels will be a dark blue denim with matching tuxedo denim slacks. The looks are pictured below. Please enjoy!

Snakeskin Fabric Print
As I begin to make these blog posts, I’m noticing a pattern. As I’ve been out shopping for fabrics, I’ve definitely become inspired by the idea of an “Urban Jungle.” These animal prints are bold, graphic patterns that are equally at home on a sharp cut jacket or pair of slacks. These are completely unconventional prints for menswear, but paired with a perfectly cut bespoke suit, the contrast is going to be stunning!
Pictured below are new looks from the Stricklandesign Bespoke F/W 16 Collection with the application of the snakeskin fabric. One look is a two piece suit, while the second garment is a dinner jacket, with the addition of black satin lapels and wool or kid mohair tuxedo slacks.

Black Snakeskin and Stingray Print Fabric
While out shopping for fabrics for my new F/W 2016 Stricklandesign Bespoke collection, I found this incredible black snakeskin and stingray printed fabric. The fabric is extremely luscious, rich and has a luxurious sheen which makes the print pop tremendously depending on the light angle. My primary creative objective now with my clothing is to find non traditional fabrics and make impeccably tailored, killer, modern bespoke garments. This garment is in production as I type. Stay tuned and I’ll post photos upon it’s completion.
